The Universal Plastic Factory Profile highlights how we perform all production using the latest injection machinery and advanced auxiliaries. We use top-range raw materials such as HDPE UV-stabilized food-grade polymers and coloring masterbatch manufactured in Europe. All materials are certified to be free from heavy metals and cadmium.

After molding, we pass the crates through a flame treatment process and print clients’ logos using high-quality inks on modern silk-screen printing machines.

In addition, UPF supplies the market with the following major products:

Environment at Universal Plastic Factory

Universal Plastic Factory gives great attention to avoiding water and air contamination during our production process. Our operation is fully environmentally- friendly. 

Although there are no dangerous emissions during crates production as we use only Food Grade raw Materials, we always monitor the impact of the production process towards the territory.

Additionally, we cool our moulds and machinery using a closed-circuit system and high-efficiency, modern chillers. which guarantee a reduction on power consumption and no water contamination.
During recycling process we use closed circuit water for washing of grounded material and only 10% of water goes to sewerage after filtration.

Reduction of electricity consumption is one of our targets so that we are using high efficiency new Machinery which guarantees lower consumption per product.

We also pay big attention to all the wastage that may cause water and environmental pollution.

We filter and reuse lubricants necessary for our machinery, which significantly reduces the need for new lubricants.. Unusable

waste oils are then collected in dedicated drums which are sold to companies that will re-use it for heating purposes (furnaces).

We dispose of other environmentally hazardous waste, such as rags contaminated with inks and thinners, in dedicated drums and deliver them to authorized waste collectors.

Process

Recycling Process​

Since 1996, Universal Plastic Factory has focused on recycling beverage crates; as a result, nearly 30% of our crates are manufactured using recycled HDPE.

Collection

Clients collect and return damaged beverage crates for recycling. The recycled material used in production comes directly from our customers. For other recycled products, we source materials from waste pickers and aggregators.

Crushing, Washing & Granulation

We process collected crates in high-efficiency granulators.. A high-pressure washing line then cleans the crushed material. Finally, the material goes through a pelletizing process to remove any remaining contaminants.

Crate Production

Prepared HDPE material is molded using state-of-the-art injection machinery and high-precision molds manufactured in Europe. Recycled material is blended with virgin resin and performance-enhancing additives to ensure the same quality and durability as products made from 100% virgin material.
Finally, after molding, crates undergo flame treatment, logo printing, quality control inspection, and final packaging.
